Some more photos.....

Just thought I'd post a few more photos before we leave London.

Here's Matt and the kids collecting poppies from the roadside near a memorial from the Battle of The Somme...The kids getting their first horse riding lesson in Basque Country....

...and finally St Emilion...

It certainly has been an adventure and we even managed to sell Dolly!!! I must say I am looking forward to living in a house again though - one camper is a small space for 4 people especially in London, when it is raining!

Will update with news of our new home in Australia once we are settled.

Back in London

Ok......we have been off the Internet for a while because the laptop decided a few weeks back to not connect to wireless.

Anyway we made it to Spain and then came back up France through the middle.
Got to Calais and I lost 2nd and 4th gear. So had to limp onto the ferry and then in Dover the RAC towed us back to London. Now selling it for 500 on gumtree......seems to be a bit of interest.

So we made it (just) and are now living outside our old flat for the next week hanging out with the neighbours and seeing the last sites of London we never saw.

Good to be back somewhere where I can talk to people other than '1 baguette, 2 croissants please' and everything does not close during the day while the country has a snooze.

Will get some photos up soon :-)

As we cross the border into Spain i thought i would share with you my list of things NOT to do when camping in France:

1) Tell your children to "go and explore" when you are staying on a family farm in the middle of nowhere (I was just gathering a search party when they reappeared, wide eyed and innocent).

2) Confuse an "Aire de Camping" with a Gypsy settlement....

3) Expect the mate of the guy you bought your camper from to do a competent job of replacing your brake cylinders...

4) Expect to find a "nice quiet spot" in a coastal town (no matter how small) in August.

5) Give up on finding the perfect place to stay, it is always just around the corner.
